Sugden Regional Park is a beautiful park with natural areas throughout. Invasive vines and other plants have come into the natural areas and are hindering the natural growth of the native plants and pushing out some of the wildlife.
As part of our commitment to protect and sustain our environment, volunteers are needed to join our trail team in removing these destructive and invasive vines/plants from trees, shrubs, and plants within the park trail. This would be a great project for a small group.
Work day each week is Wednesday from 8am - 11am.
The Trail Team works in this trail 1 day a week and is looking for more members to help on a regular basis.
This is an outside position working in the heat and around plants/trees/bugs.
Gloves are strongly encouraged. Close toe shoes should be worn. Bring a water bottle, access to restroom facilities and water fountains are on site.
Work closely with our maintenance staff to work in a designated area of the park and follow directions for plant type removal.
To volunteer with Collier County Parks and Recreation you may visit our website at www.collierparks.com/volunteer_program to submit and application. For more information, call Debi at 239-252-4033.
