We are looking for professionals: Professional organizations, graduate students, retirees, working professionals, stay a at home parent, etc., who has a passion for working with special needs. Drop by on your lunch break or after work. Our Clubbers want to improve their people skills and build their confidence by becoming more independent. They want to make friends and have fun. Use your talents and skill to teach them what you know.
REQUIRED: Criminal background check and valid Texas Driver’s license for individuals over 19.
We are flexible as we know most everyone works. However, in a perfect world, we need the most assistance in 2-4-hour blocks of time Monday Through Fri with a 3-to-4-week commitment. Our specials need clients do better when schedules are consistent. Since we are a non-profit, we do have occasional fundraisers, events and field trips that we can use help outside our normal hours. We may ask for your assistance for these special events, if you are available, we would welcome your help.
Come to the Clubhouse and get to know our Clubbers. Share your skills and talents consider mentoring them in an area of your expertise. Start a book club or board game challenge. Teach them about the crafts or art you are passionate about. Help them explore our world through science or technology. Guide them through cooking or gardening technique. Or show them the way of sports and recreation. Advise them with your expertise on fashion and makeup. Do you sing, dance or play an instrument? Have you always wanted to try your hand at magic or have an entertainer's spirit? We can be your audience and we'd love to learn. The options are only limited by your creativity. Please come share your time and your talents. You'll quickly be our Super Star.
