MEALS ON WHEELS (MOW) VOLUNTEER NUTRITION COORDINATOR

Qualifications
◼ Ability to communicate professionally, via telephone and in writing with both the public and agency personnel
◼ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
◼ Basic knowledge of routine office procedures
◼ Proficient computer skills
◼ Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple deadlines in a timely manner
◼ Ability to function as part of a team and work under limited direction or independently
◼ Familiarity with customer service practices
◼ Accurate and detailed data entry

Preferred
◼ Bilingual Spanish/English (Native Spanish speaker desirable)
◼ Experience in food service
◼ High School diploma
◼ Proficient in Microsoft 365

Responsibilities
◼ Assemble and Mail client packets
◼ Route clients/calls to appropriate staff
◼ Assist with add and delete lists
◼ Filing including creating name labels
◼ Accurately maintain and update client records and care plans both within the database and within corresponding physical client folders
◼ Interact with other agencies and/or contractors
◼ Reconcile delivery route sheets for accuracy
◼ Effectively communicate with clients, elderly and disabled persons
◼ Perform client eligibility assessments
◼ Perform quarterly telephone assessments
◼ Refer client to other services as needed, including reporting elder abuse
