FEED THE FAMILY FOOD PANTRY is a project of the International Women’s Democracy Center (IWDC), a 501c3 nonprofit organization established in 1995. The Sunday Pantry is open from 1-4 and located at 4225 Connecticut Avenue across from UDC. The all-volunteer-run Pantry provides produce and cleaning supplies to our neighbors in Ward 3 and beyond in Washington DC.
We are looking for a volunteer(s) to help create and manage our soon
to be created social media platforms on Instagram and Twitter.
This opportunity is completely virtual.
Duties
-Posting updates on when and where to drop off donations, reminders
of when to pick up items, and any photos of the team taken on-site
-Managing followers and notifications
-Creating and posting relevant graphics

IWDC was established in 1995 to ensure that women leaders worldwide have the tools and skills to raise their voices in politics, policy and decision making within their own communities. The pandemic shifted the focus of IWDC to our local community and we established the Feed the Family Pantry to ensure that women and their families who are struggling with food and financial insecurity have basic needs to get through a day.
