The Platteville Community Arboretum is run by volunteers. Our committee system carries out tasks and helps make decisions and is comprised of the following 5 committees:
Activities Committee: plans and carries out recreational and educational events in the PCA
Ecology Committee: helps determine and accomplish the environmental and conservation goals of the PCA
Finance Committee: plans and carries out fundraising events, coordinates solicitation mailings, seeks out grant funding opportunities
Marketing & Membership Committee: promotes the PCA, recruits and retains members, provides educational materials to trail users, facilitates communication with volunteers, members, donors and the general public
Planning Committee: determines annual and long-term priorities for the PCA and how to achieve them

Our mission is to connect the Platteville community to the Rountree Branch corridor, through recreation, conservation and environmental education.
Description
Established in 2004, the Platteville Community Arboretum, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with over 150 members. The PCA is truly a community effort, as all activities, projects and maintenance are fully supported by community volunteers, donations and memberships. The Platteville Community Arboretum maintains and manages over four miles of the Platteville area trail network and adjacent arboretum. Our work is focused on habitat restoration, environmental education and creating educational and recreational opportunities along the Rountree Branch Trail.
