Gardeners maintain native plant garden plots along the Rountree Branch Trail. Some garden knowledge and experience is preferred, but we're willing to train. Duties include regular weeding, mulching and occasional planting. Work is flexible and as-needed.

Our mission is to connect the Platteville community to the Rountree Branch corridor, through recreation, conservation and environmental education.

Description

Established in 2004, the Platteville Community Arboretum, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with over 150 members. The PCA is truly a community effort, as all activities, projects and maintenance are fully supported by community volunteers, donations and memberships. The Platteville Community Arboretum maintains and manages over four miles of the Platteville area trail network and adjacent arboretum. Our work is focused on habitat restoration, environmental education and creating educational and recreational opportunities along the Rountree Branch Trail.
