WHAT:
WCHS maintains a small kitchen garden beside the onsite cabin. Over the years the existing railroad ties have broken down and need placing.
The ground also needs to be reworked and prepped for Spring 2022.
WHEN:
Fall 2021, after the sunflowers planted there are finished for the season, or after
August 1st if they don’t grow.
The project can be completed at the volunteer’s convenience.
SUPPLIES:
All pre-approved supplies will be paid for by WCHS; purchasing of items can be completed by volunteer and immediately reimbursed or WCHS staff can purchase and have supplies on hand.
All equipment to complete the job can be yours or supplied by WCHS.

The Wright County Historical Society (WCHS) is a public 501(c) non-profit organization whose mission is to collect, preserve and share our history through the location, discovery, collection and preservation of historical artifacts and records. Our vision is to serve as the collective historical memory of Wright County, present exhibits that use historical materials related to the county, provide a comprehensive genealogical research facility, and connect to diverse audiences through a variety of methods.
Description
The Wright County Historical Society is located at the Wright County Heritage Center in Buffalo, Minnesota. It consists of nearly 8000 sq ft of gallery space, a genealogical research library, and historic buildings both on our grounds and the county fairgrounds. WCHS also provides many presentations, events, and lecture opportunities, including our famous History of Tractors series, an indoor Festival of Trees and much, much more. WCHS prides ourselves on providing many hands-on interactive exhibits, making for great tours and a family-friendly place to visit. We are open Monday-Friday and admission to our galleries and library is free.
