Looking for a way to engage your heart, mind and spirit? Consider becoming a Hospice Volunteer with Kaiser Permanente Riverside Hospice Volunteer program. Kaiser honors the basic principle of Hospice care helping terminally ill patients balance the spirit of living, giving them as much comfort and peace as possible no matter how long or short their remaining time is. We provide physical, emotional, and spiritual comforts to increase the quality of life in this season with family and friends.

We are looking for reliable, friendly, and compassionate people to provide companionship to patients at home or in a skilled nursing facility through social, emotional, presence, and spiritual support; Engaging in activities through conversation, listening, reading, singing, playing games, or the creative arts; Providing caregiver relief for naps, errands, appointments or social time. Must be 18 years or older for this role.

Our Mission: The Mission of the Volunteer Services department is to provide quality support services to our members, visitors and staff in the Kaiser Permanente Riverside Service Area, and our local communities. Our volunteers include males and females 14 years of age and older, and represent the culturally diverse community which form our customer service area. Volunteers are selected without regard for race, religion, national origin, color, ethnicity, gender, sexual preference or medical condition. They are trained and placed based on their skills and abilities.

Provide supplemental services without monetary remuneration to humanize total patient care. To augment the services of personnel in its mission to provide quality health care and satisfaction to its members.

The Volunteer Services Department is responsible for the management of volunteers and volunteer programs within Kaiser Medical Center at Riverside .
