ORGANIZATION: RESILIENCE PROJECT

Seeking individual to be part of Resilience Projects Scholarship team. Be part of a team that brings light to the topic of sexual assault in our communities by outreaching to the public.

Description:

-Create and maintain a relationship with Title 9 members of colleges

-Create and maintain relationships with community leaders

-Outreach opportunities- Attends and creates online and in-person tabling events, to provide informational services


Desired skill set:

-Knowledge of Title 9 most recent policies

-Professional demeanor

-Able to independently outreach to colleges to share about the scholarship program

-Able to disseminate Resilience Project information and create a method for obtaining applications from each institution with confidence

Mission Statement

The Resilience Project uses art to invigorate a sense of Triumph in individuals who identify as Survivors of sexual assault. It is our sincere hope to create change in the community through our scholarship and art programs. We hope to encourage the presence of diverse services directed to the prevention of sexual assault, as well as celebrate the many ways that survivors are persistent after their trauma.

Description

  • To provide roadmaps and resources to survivors after trauma.

  • Create healing communities through art in particular mural based art

  • Use the attention this scholarship program garners to promote advancements for campus survivors in our community

  • Campaign for the institutional funding of Survivor support services in institutions of higher learning.

  • Celebrate the many ways that survivors are persistent after their trauma

  • Give special attention to the determination and help it takes to graduate after a campus sexual assault
