Volunteer Position Opportunity for 3 - 5 people who can weed whack and mow around the HSMC shelter and HSMC Thrift Store in McCormick.
Ideally, we'd like 3 - 5 people to volunteer 3-4 hours a week. You can work independently or in pairs. We are looking for people who:
*can use a riding lawn mower or walk behind mower
*have some free time during the day
*can work together as a team to keep both areas maintained
We provide the supplies including a riding lawn mower, a walk behind mower, and a string trimmer. You can also use your equipment if that is what you prefer or if you are a company and would like to donate these services, we can provide a tax receipt for your services.
This is a way to help the cats and dogs at the shelter without having to be hands-on with the animals. Or you can do both.

Description
The Humane Society of McCormick County is an all-volunteer, no-kill animal rescue. We are the sole source of animal care because McCormick County has no cit or county-run shelter, or veterinarians. We are completely depend upon local donations and private grants to support our efforts to save the lives of homeless dogs and cats in our community. We are a non-profit so donations are tax-deductible. We offer a low-cost or no-cost spay and neuter program for any dog or cat in our county in an effort to humanely reduce the number of unwanted and abandoned dogs and cats.
