The Animal Pad has a super fun, hands-on adoption/fundraising event planned at Dirty Dogs Del Mar, and we need A LOT of volunteers to help us wash the pups! This volunteer opportunity is available to anyone who is interested - all ages welcome!! *All volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult during the entire event.*Where: Dirty Dogs & Meow in Del Mar (12853 El Camino Real Ste. 106, San Diego 92130) When: Saturday, June 19th from 11am-4pm Event Duties: There are 4 self service wash tubs located inside of the store, and we will need 2 volunteers at each tub to wash dogs. Since the event is 5 hours long, we'll be splitting it up into two separate volunteer shifts. The first group will volunteer from 11am-1:30pm, and the second group from 1:30pm-4pm. We will need at least 8 volunteers per shift, so 16+ volunteers in total! Although of course everyone is free to stay for the entire duration of the event! We'll be set up outside of the store with our TAP merch table, and we will also have a group of our adoptable TAP puppers at this event so you get twice the amount of puppy love! Dirty Dogs will be charging people $25 for the TAP Tribe volunteers to wash their dogs, and TAP will be receiving 50% of the proceeds collected from this event. So not only do you get to interact directly with the dogs, but you are also helping our future rescue efforts to keep saving even more deserving fur babies!
***All volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult during the entire event.*** Volunteers age 16+ are free to come solo!

Mission Statement
The Animal Pad is a nonprofit, all-breed dog rescue based in San Diego, CA that focuses on saving dogs from the streets of Mexico and high kill shelters. We get them the vet care they need, place them in foster homes and then find them loving forever families. Our mission is to form a safe space for dogs experiencing crisis and neglect, and to build a community of compassion through education, rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption. Our community of volunteers and fosters strives to ensure that all dogs get a fighting chance, and believes that no case is too extreme to be helped - meaning our rescue is full of perfectly imperfect dogs who can’t wait to meet you! Being operated solely by volunteers and funded entirely by donations, none of what we do could be possible without our dedicated team!

Here at TAP, we give voice to the voiceless and our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and find them the best homes possible. Founded in 2010, The Animal Pad is volunteer run and funded entirely by donations. We rescue dogs primarily off the streets of Mexico, and provide them full medical care and a loving foster home to heal in before they head to their adoptive home.
