Job Role:

This is a paid role, which will require you to help people gain a perspective about whatever is at the root of that person’s difficulty. Working collaboratively to identify what might be stopping an individual from reaching their full potential and what action is needed to take charge of their situation. This role is on-site.

• To develop ways of thinking and associated behaviors that are more productive and likely to assist an individual reach their desired goals in life
• Help move the participant towards becoming the kind of person they want to be, attaining desired outcomes whether personal or professional
• Versed in anger management and nonviolent communication
• Help identify the root cause of emotional dysregulation
• Familiar with social emotional learning and mindfulness

• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be tech savvy
• Be empathetic and have a team approach to care
• Experience working with justice-involved youth
• People-oriented - enjoys interacting with people and working on group projects
• Achievement-oriented - enjoys taking on challenges, even if they might fail
• Pass a criminal background check
• Be in the LA area

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Certification
• Masters’ degree (preferred)
