A gentleman with ALS would love your help weeding his garden! He anticipates that this task would take 2-3 hours monthly, but whatever time you're able to give would be appreciated. He can provide all supplies (bucket/gloves/knee pads) and would enjoy watching the garden being taken care of while sitting outside. Ideal times for a volunteer to help would be any day between approximately 10:30 am-3:30 pm. Description

What is ALS?

ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a degenerative disease of the central nervous system. ALS results in the progressive weakness of voluntary muscles which often leads to total paralysis. There is no known cause or cure for ALS. People with ALS typically live between two and five years after being diagnosed.

How does The ALS Association help?

We fulfill our mission by offering programs, services, and equipment free of charge to anyone affected by ALS residing in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
