Together, we can do anything

The KeelWorks foundation is developing training, internal communication, social media, and web marketing. We have many demands product designers and user experience researchers. We have more volunteers that we can manage, though not more than we can use. We need to establish program standards and procedures and perhaps quality criteria. If you are interested in gaining experience as a program manager and feel up to this challenge, we could use your help.

This position is unpaid, asynchronous and virtual with weekly synchonous meetings. Participating with the foundation allows those with significant experience in UI/UX to build a basis for qualifying as a UI/UX program manager. We help with resumes and portfolios for those desiring this help.

To learn more about our foundation, please visit our web page at https://keelworks.org (The redesign of this site is just one of our 23 projects employing uxui).

Mission Statement

To support a better world with better citizens by fostering learning competence, emotional intelligence, and networked intelligence. KeelWorks especially wishes to bring greater participation to the economically disadvantaged across the globe. We are building a system to support upward mobility.

Description

We are a charitable non-profit virtual foundation. Founded in 2009, we've worked with over 300 graduate students and past students helping them bridge the gap from education to gainful employment while helping KeelWorks build a structure for people needing change. Our goal is to be the equalizer, bringing those on the outside looking in to the inside. Our goal is to end poverty across the world, changing one life at a time. Our special approach involves grouping people for mutual support, teaching core competencies, and supporting goals with objective progress metrics and team accountability, We hope to build a structure for change that can be replicated hundreds and thousands of times. We don't give participants fish, but hope to teach them to fish for themselves.
