The vision of the project is: to build a strong tradition of Community involvement by recruiting residents in renovating and revitalizing city parks and neighborhoods to include benefits such as:
- Increase community awareness of challenges related to resources and maintenance
- Service learning opportunities for families
- A greater sense of community ownership of city assets
- Pride and accomplishment in the completed projects
"Meet up - Clean up" will provide opportunities for community stakeholders and residents to participate in community clean-up projects. Volunteers and staff will participate in activities focusing on one neighborhood at a time.
Neighborhood activities will include but are not limited to:
- Park renovations
- Neighborhood clean up
- Graffiti Removal
- Town keeper beautification efforts

Description
The City of Oxnard's Recreation Division began the "Meet-Up, Clean-Up" program in 2017 to engage the community in the beautification of our local parks. With the vision to build a strong tradition of Community involvement by recruiting residents in renovating and revitalizing city parks and neighborhoods to include benefits such as:

- Service learning opportunities for families

REQUIREMENTS
- On scheduled dates, the projects operate: Saturdays 8:00am-12:00pm. If it's a MEGA project it operates from 8:00am-3:00pm
- All volunteers must sign the City of Oxnard Waiver at check-in. Volunteers under the age of 18 must have a parent complete the registration waiver form, contact liliana.soria@oxnard.org on how to complete the waiver for minors prior to the event.
