What is needed? The Co-Pilot assists our driver with picking up items for donation in Longmont and surrounding areas. The Volunteer Co-Pilot accompanies our driver in a box truck to a donor's location, helps load the items (usually furniture and/or appliances) into the boxtruck for transport to the store, which is then unloaded and prepared to sell. The hours for pick-ups are usually Tuesday-Thursday 10am - 2pm.

Interested? Inquire St. Vrain Habitat for Humanity's Volunteer Services Team, at volunteer@stvrainhabitat.org or call 303-682-2485 x116.

About St. Vrain Habitat

Location:

P.O. Box 333, 303 Atwood St, Longmont, CO 80501, US

Mission Statement

Since 1988, Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley has been building simple, decent, affordable homes for those in need throughout our community. The mission of Habitat for Humanity is "to put God’s love into action, bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope."

Description

Based in Longmont, Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley has built 120 homes locally. Our homes are sold to qualified family partners at cost with a no-profit mortgage. As homeowners repay their mortgage, the funds are invested into building more homes for deserving families. We select homeowner families based on their need for adequate shelter, their ability to pay for a Habitat home, and their willingness to partner with Habitat for Humanity, including taking financial and homeownership classes. All homeowners contribute "sweat equity"; they work in partnership with the affiliate and other volunteers, contributing up to 500 hours of volunteer service.
