On April 27, 2024, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Mid-Ohio is walking to raise money and spread mental health awareness.

We need leaders in our community to become volunteers, walkers, and team captains and recruit attendees to not only raise money for NAMI Mid-Ohio, but also raise mental health awareness in our communities!

NAMI is a unique resource for those who are suffering from the symptoms of a mental health condition or those who are suffering as they watch a loved one experience a mental health condition. Our services are peer-led, meaning that our presenters, teachers, and facilitators have a lived-experience with mental illness. Our staff and volunteers have either been diagnosed with a mental health condition or they have a loved one with a mental health condition. We believe that sharing our experiences can be healing - healing for us and healing for those who are listening.

NAMI provides all of this support - educational classes, support groups, and presentations - to the public for free. This is no easy feat, and we can’t make it happen without our largest fundraising event of the year, NAMI Walks. Please consider joining us on our mission to improving the quality of life for people with mental illness and their families through support, education, and advocacy today!
