About This Opportunity:

As the Podcast Production Assistant volunteer, you will work alongside Garbo's CEO to plan, prepare, record, and edit podcast episodes for season 3 of our podcast, Reckoning.

Reckoning is a podcast that explores conversations with experts and advocates around gender-based violence, survivor justice, and safety in the digital age. In our first two seasons, we had incredible guests including Katie Ray-Jones, the CEO of The National Domestic Violence Hotline, Eva Galperin from the Electronic Frontier Foundation, and Katie Hood, the former Executive Director of One Love.

In this role, you can help with one or all of the processes associated with podcast production. If you have experience such as editing or research for episodes, that's great! If you don't have any experience, that's totally okay - we have a pretty robust process and you'll gain a ton of skills and knowledge.

What You’ll Do:

• Help finalize the strategy and guests for season 3
• Email with potential guests and schedule sessions
• Research and Develop questions for each episode
• Edit episodes including intros, outros, ad breaks, and other basic editing needs
• Edit automated transcripts for accuracy and grammar
• Work with marketing team to create distribution plan each episode (select best quotes, create social media videos, email marketing, etc...)

• Organizational skills including scheduling meetings and meeting deadlines
