You can sign up for available shifts here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70a0449aeae23a4fb6-shower2 - search using email address Hello@projectoutpour.org Shower Squad Volunteers assist our guests with using the mobile shower service. Duties include checking guests in (explaining how service works), gathering the supplies that each guest requests for use in the shower, and keeping the shower schedule on track. Volunteers can also visit with guests as they wait for their turn. Additionally, volunteers help with setting up the service area before service starts and packing up the trailer after service finishes. Covid protocols include social distancing, working outdoors, sanitizing of showers between each guest, and sanitation of all "touch zones" throughout service hours. Project Outpour's mission is to provide shower access to persons moving through homelessness, alleviating suffering and promoting holistic health and dignity.
Description
We bring our mobile shower trailer to specific, scheduled locations and provide shower service. We got our start in 2018 when our founder was inspired by speaking to a man moving through homelessness who had not had access to a shower in over 2 weeks. Our goal is to provide services several days per week, and in or der to do that, we need at least 2 volunteers per shift to help guests, clean the shower units, and visit with our neighbors coming to receive services.
