Safe Haven Academy
Our goal is to have an academy where our youth can feel safe while learning life skills and a vocational trade.

We are looking to recruit volunteers to help build a safe haven for Veterans. Assignment starts on late February 1, 2022 and will be on going as their are several facilities needed to be constructed.
Volunteer efforts will go towards the development of the Flash Back Academy project that will provide housing, vocational training and other support services for former foster care youth and veterans.
We are also requesting donations from developers and supply companies. We need cement, trailer, shelves, hammers nails, wood.

Founded in 1983 our mission to to assist youth, families and the community at large by addressing issues that severely impact quality of life. But we do not stop there. We build bonds in communities that allows us the opportunity to connect needed resource to our program participants. Our training continues to regarded as one of the most stimulating and challenging programs offered in the nation. Our success is that we remember that we are part of a nation of greatness and it starts with continuing to connect with our communities.

Description

Since 1983 we have been working with adults and youth who have fallen on hard times and find them selves in need of counseling redirecting and resources. We are best known for our theatrical social development workshops where we use theater and role play to address sensitive issues that negatively impact quality of life.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • Volunteers will begin at 9:00 am and work at their own pace. Must where working boots and gloves and head covering.
  • Any volunteers that need to satisfy the courts with community service time, we can provide a letter that will show that you have performed volunteer work for our project.
