I’RAISE Girls and Boys International Corporation is currently seeking Volunteer Group Leaders for our onsite summer program at a school located in Brooklyn, NY. Group Leaders will supervise elementary school-aged youth in grades K-5, facilitating hands-on and age appropriate activities and trips that support and promote the healthy development of youth within a safe and wholesome learning environment.

Group Leaders supervise groups of youth, providing academic help, facilitating activities, ensuring program safety and cleaning program areas. Responsibilities include: implementing program curriculum; ensuring the health, safety and well-being of students; assisting with accurate program documentation (incident reports, accident report, behavior logs, and attendance & sign-in/out sheets).

Qualifications :

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. A high school diploma is preferred. Prior experience working with young children (such as after school programs, summer camps or tutoring) is preferred.

Individuals who are skilled in any of the following areas are a plus:

  • Step
  • Dance/Step/Hip Hop
  • Cheerleading
  • Art
  • Music
  • Creative Writing
  • Photography

Shifts: 8:30am-12:00pm, 12:00pm-3:30pm, days available Monday-Friday

I’RAISE Boys & Girls International Corporation is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization in New York City founded in 2012. We have been providing free tutoring, mentoring and coaching services, virtual performance classes, college preparation program, nutrition workshops, and parent education program. As a minority led non-profit organization with leaders that are women of colors, we feel so much pride and we are so proud being able to provide beneficial resources to the children in under-resourced areas in New York City in-person and multiple-states virtually. And we have been successful in providing these services because of our volunteers. Come volunteer with us as we strive to make positive changes in children's life and be a safe haven that they can rely on!
