The Extra Mile Academy (TEMA) is starting a new program. Our Ambassadors (college students) volunteer 250 hours over a one year period. This allows them to receive the President's Volunteer Service Award (PVSA). The plan is the student will volunteer 125 hours in our office. During that time they help support a financial planning practice. This gives the student real world financial literacy education. We also figure out the student's skills and abilities. We then look to place the student in an unpaid internship in an industry of their choice. For example let's say the student wants to build websites for a career. We look to place the student with a company building websites.
