* puppy sitting (take a dog home overnight)

*puppy raising (raise a dog for 14-18 months)

Golden Healer Service Dogs is a 501 (c)3 nonprofit that provides service dogs for those that suffer from Mental Health and Physical Disabilities.

Description

We provide Service Dogs to those who suffer from all kinds of Mental Health Disabilities (ie, PTSD, Anxiety, Autism, etc) and Physical Disabilities (Diabetes, Seizures, mobility, etc). We offer several different ways that people can volunteer.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Orientation or Training
  • The time commitment depends on you. We try to be flexible. Puppy sitting is usually anywhere from 1-7 nights. Puppy raising is a longer commitment. Puppy Raising is from the time the puppy is 14 weeks to 18 months.
  • You will be asked to attend a volunteer orientation where we will talk more about our organization and outline all the volunteer opportunities available.
