The Mentoring Program is designed to involve the Red Wing community in our approach to connecting and impacting the lives of youth. Staff facilitate in-school mentor sessions for volunteer mentors to meet with students two times a month. These sessions include a large group activity, large group discussion on intentional conversation topics that are age-level appropriate, and time for youth and mentors to connect one-on-one as well. The heart of this program is to help bridge the gap for students who feel disconnected from their community, by providing another caring adult in their life to help them navigate middle school, high school, and transition successfully into early adulthood. We utilize ARISE curriculum in our mentor sessions and teach social and emotional learning skills to help our youth grow stronger in their relationships with their peers, family, and community. Mentoring is offered at Twin Bluff Middle School, serving grades 5-7 and at Red Wing High School, serving grades 8-12.

Those living over working in Red Wing, MN, over age 21, and willing to connect with youth in school. Must pass application process, background check and reference check.
