MetroSquash's goal is to empower underserved Chicago youth through our Pathway Program that incorporates academic support, squash and wellness, mentoring, enrichment, and community service. We take a pathway approach by serving students from 5th grade through college graduation in order to address the needs of our students at all levels of the program. We offer our students holistic year-round programing that focus on four main outcomes: 1) increase academic achievement, 2) improve health and wellness, 3) provide career and life skills training, and 4) engage families in support of student success.
Once MetroSquash students enter high school, they are paired one-on-one with a trusted adult role model that will help them navigate through positive youth development focusing on the 5 C's: Challenges, Choices, Consequences, Creative Solutions, and Conclusions. The MetroSquash Mentor Program offers a more intensive partnership with a two year minimum mentor commitment to the program. The goal of the Program is to ensure our students are being supported as they matriculate through college and into their professional careers.
