Our unique brand of one-to-one mentoring, in which a child facing adversity is carefully matched with a caring adult mentor in a relationship supported by professional Big Brothers Big Sisters staff members, changes lives for the better forever.
For our Site Based Program we recruit committed volunteers who may be college aged students or older adults who are stable in the community relevant to living and will dedicate themselves to a minimum of 18 month commitment. For community based we require that volunteers be a minimum of 25 years old, stable in employment and housing. All volunteers must pass a multi level background check, provide references, complete an application, interview and pre match training. We ask for a minimum of an 18 month commitment to the match in all cases.
