1-2-1 Mentoring is a mentoring agency that partners carefully selected, screened, and trained mentors with school-aged children. Throughout the mentoring relationship, mentors will take the time to learn about their mentee, help them articulate their dreams, teach them how to appropriately manage conflicts, and much more. All while having fun! Mentoring Sessions can include activities such as: academic support, sports skill development, arts and crafts, mindfulness training, nutrition guidance, navigating peer relations, reading, field trips, hikes, fishing, cooking etc. In addition to individualized one-on-one sessions the 1-2-1 Mentoring services include community building activities and continued support.

Mentors are expected to meet with their Mentees weekly during the school year, with the exception of school holidays and breaks. Mentoring Sessions can include activities such as: academic support, sports skill development, arts and crafts, mindfulness training, nutrition guidance, navigating peer relations, reading, field trips, hikes, fishing, cooking etc. Mentoring session times and dates are flexible and are directly scheduled by the Mentor and their Mentee's family. Matches are made based on the availability of the Mentor and Mentee, so mentoring sessions are made extremely convenient to both parties. Depending on availability, some Mentoring Relationships continue even over the summer and over school holidays.

1-2-1 Mentoring has in place, an extremely intense screening and a continuous monitoring process.
* Every potential mentor's residential and criminal histories will be screened through Castle Branch Screening Service.
* Drug testing is mandatory for all mentors.
* Reference checks are performed (a minimum of three required)
* DMV records will be reviewed
* Auto-insurance will be monitored for the period of each mentor's retention.
* Written application review.
