The MATCH program is a mentoring program that provides one-on-one/couple/group/team mentoring opportunities for youth ages 6-13 that are referred to Y.O.U.T.H. of Wilson to be matched with an adult in a positive youth development program that engages the youth in eight key components: character/ethic development, academic support, career development, health promotion, nutrition, alcohol/drug issues, community service and financial literacy. We serve up to 17 years of age as long as the youth has been referred by 13 years of age.

3 - 6 hours training
Plan activities with youth monthly 2 hours weekly/8 hours monthly minimum
Comply with all rules of program including training, supervision and commitment requirements
Be an effective listener, friend and confidant,caring, committed, dedicated, and stable
Attend in-service trainings and activities and advice staff if unable to attend
Keep matters confidential concerning the youth and family unless it is a matter of safety of the youth and family
Be responsible for volunteer work and act with proper consideration for those with whom work
Contact staff with monthly hours and activities
Ask about things that do not understand
