Planning Volunteers are needed to assist in realizing the goals for the Walk to Defeat ALS Miami. Planners work closely with the Chapter’s Regional Development Manager to assist in event promotion and collateral distribution, solicit and coordinate event entertainment, and assist with day-of logistics and volunteer management. Planning Volunteers work at their own pace starting immediately until shortly after the event this includes attending zoom meetings twice a month and attending the event to assist with day-of duties (5-7 hours).
The Walk to Defeat ALSMiami has a direct impact on people living with ALS by raising awareness and funds to realize the mission of The ALS Association Florida Chapter: creating a world without ALS. The Chapter is fighting this disease by participating in advocacy, providing patient services, helping fund research, and providing financial support to statewide multidisciplinary ALS clinics and research facilities, enabling them to increase quality patient care.
The Walk to Defeat ALSMiami will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Tropical Park in Miami.
