Like to cook and/or assist serving meals to patients?

Pillars Hospice Home would love to have your help mornings and evenings!

We are an eight bed residential home that cares for patients who are on hospice and their families. Our goal is to make this end-of-life journey a peaceful and comfortable one and our volunteers are an essential part of that experience.

Our kitchen routines are: breakfasts are generally short order cooking (eggs, pancakes, oatmeal, etc as requested); lunches are soup or sandwiches; dinners menus are pre-planned (though suggestions are always welcome!) The most helpful tasks include: cooking and serving meals; bringing trays to patients, cleaning the kitchen and offering assistance to patients and visitors.

You will be part of a compassionate, caring team in this home atmosphere. Offering your comforting presence is the most welcomed of all!

Please let us know if you are interested and we will be glad to answer your questions and explain more about what we do and how you can help patients and families.
