ORGANIZATION: ICNA Relief - Chicago

AMITA Health, in partnership with: ICNA Relief, Pillars Community Health, National Alliance on Mental Illness, Access Dupage, and Greater Chicago Food Depository, are partnering for MISSION AT HOME MEDICAL CLINIC. We will be offering free medical services to those who are unable to afford medical care.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 30th at Hindsdale Adventist Academy (631 E. Hickory Street, Hindsdale, IL 60521).

WE ARE LOOKING FOR AMAZING VOLUNTEERS TO HELP US TRANSLATE AND INTERPRET VITAL HEALTH-RELATED INFORMATION FOR WALK-IN CLIENTS WHO ARE UNABLE TO SPEAK ENGLISH. You will assist in allowing these individuals to interact with medical professionals in order that they can get the medical attention that they need at this event.

FLUENT TRANSLATORS/INTERPRETERS IN ARABIC ARE NEEDED.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 18
  • MISSION AT HOME MEDICAL CLINIC will be from 9am-2pm. We need Arabic speaking volunteers to help translate. Please arrive on time in order to understand your assigned roles, get a lay of the land, ask any questions, and to get settled.
  • This event will be held in accordance with CDC guidelines. Social distancing protocols will be followed for safety, with no more than 50 people per hour allowed in the large clinic space. Please no volunteers under the age of 18.
