The Fort Worth branch of Encompass Health - Hospice is looking for interested seminarians, retired, or other qualified spiritual care providers who desire to serve as chaplains on a volunteer basis in providing quality care to patients, their families and caregivers. This is a trial opportunity that is expected to last a year.
Chaplains are an integral part of the hospice interdisciplinary team providing patient at the end-of-life with sensitive quality care and support in the dying process. The chaplain is responsible for implementing and coordinating all activities of the spiritual services program and the delivery of spiritual services to patients and their families. The chaplain provides supports to the bereavement program with the provision of spiritual support to the patient and their family, secondary to personal desires and belief system, and consistent with Encompass Health - Home Health & Hospice policies and procedures.
