Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation

Image_202004141253

Our Hubbs trail along the Agua Hedionda Lagoon has experienced an increase in use due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Users have been taking shortcuts through vegetation to access this trail, causing erosion in some parts of the trail.

Our main goal of this event is to install several fencing structures in off-trail areas that people have been using as shortcuts. The fencing will help prevent erosion, and preserve our sensitive lagoon ecosystem.

Volunteers will also be planting native drought-resistant plants to restore this ecosystem.

We will be cleaning up any litter on the trail as well. All supplies will be provided.
