Neighbor Helping Neighbor is a common theme for us here at Lend A Hand of Boulder City.

Many of our elderly and disabled clients no longer can drive themselves to get to where they need to go. Whether it is a simple as doing local errands here in Boulder City or having to go to an appointment in the Vegas valley, your ability to take them there will make their lives that much better!

We are looking for conscientious and dedicated volunteer drivers that are willing to transport our clients anywhere in the Vegas valley or within Boulder City limits.

Our client ride needs vary and can be any day or time of the week, so if you are only able to volunteer a certain time frames such as weekends, everyone at Lend A Hand of Boulder City would be grateful!

All volunteers use their own vehicle* to transport our clients and must:

• Be able to pass a background check.
• Have a safe driving record with current valid Nevada driver's license.
• Have & maintain proper auto insurance.
• Have a safe car. (for example: ac/heat work, seats operate properly, doors open/close normally, locks operate, seatbelts are secure and operational.)
• Attend our training class.
• Be able to check in with us once a week either via email or by phone for available rides.
• Get fingerprinted (cost ranges from $5 to $10 depending on where you get fingerprinted.**)

* We offer mileage reimbursement @ 46 cents/mile . Note - this is calculated from client's pick up point to client's drop off point.
** May be reimbursed upon passing background check and committing to first ride with a client.
