ORGANIZATION: Woodside High School

  • 4 people are interested

Woodside's Capstone Engineering3 students are motivated students that will come up with a yearlong project in small teams of 2-4. We are looking for mentors to guide students on these projects from the kick off and project planning, CAD creation, engineering build and problem solving through to completion. Engaging in regular project timeline checks, offering insight from your own expertise and from industry, as well as providing opportunities for development of professional skills through in person, email and phone communication.

I'm hoping that you, or someone that you know, might be able to participate in this program as a mentor. The commitment is approximately 2 hours per month, with most interactions via email or zoom and quarterly face-to-face meetings over the course of the school year. The first meeting is scheduled for early September and the program wraps up in May.
