The Rise Concept is looking for a detail-oriented and focused volunteer coordinator who would be responsible for all aspects regarding volunteers from recruiting new volunteers and promoting volunteer opportunities to conveying the organization's purpose to the public. A volunteer coordinator arranges all the details and scheduled for needed volunteers and keeps all parties trained and informed.

This person would be responsible to build and manage a database of volunteers and volunteer opportunities.

Responsibilities include recruiting, training and scheduling as well as obtaining volunteer skills in our database and matching volunteers to opportunities that match their skills.

The volunteer coordinator would be meticulous about keeping records and passionate about The Rise Concept mission. In this role they would have a servant leader approach and will ensure the volunteers know their role and are equipped with the training, information and tools they need to be successful in their role.

Volunteer Coordinator Responsibilities

• Recruiting, training, scheduling and supervising volunteers
• Collecting volunteer information, availability and skills
• Keeping all data current in the volunteer database (TrackIfForward)
• Uses marketing tools such as Volunteer Match, emails and the volunteer software for outreach, recruiting and communication
• Ensures new and existing volunteers are informed about the organization, its mission and volunteer opportunities -Using Volunteer Software
• Match volunteers to opportunities that best suit their skills and desired work and ensuring they understand responsibilities, job limits and receive appropriate training for each job they are given
• Keep schedules and records of volunteers in the volunteer software
• Prepare SOPs for store work front of house as well as back of house.
• Prepare codes of conduct guidelines and overall operating procedures to uphold the organizations values...ensure all volunteers receive, review and are trained on those guidelines.
• In recruiting volunteers ensure that the organizations purpose and mission are clearly communicated

If you have... or if you are...

• Experience in a volunteering and recruitment role and/or experience managing and leading people
• Working knowledge of databases/software systems to maintain various records and data for the volunteers- and/or aptitude to learn and further drive compliance of use by volunteers.
• Ability to teach and train volunteers in various processes, procedures and in the volunteer software
• Excellent people and team-building skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
