The Building Block of Natrona provides various community programs throughout the year that benefit families in the Natrona region of Allegheny County. Programs range from a monthly produce & cosmetics distribution, to the summer youth lunch program, and health resource fairs.

One way we communicate our program information to local residents is by distributing flyers door-to-door in Natrona once a month. Not everyone in this area has Internet access, smartphones, etc. So, the community flyer is an important tool in sharing information with residents.

Volunteers would place a flyer in door handles on the second weekend of each month (our monthly food distribution falls on the third Saturday of each month). The time is flexible and can be done on any day around the second weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun). Also, volunteers do not have to canvas the entire community - they can choose to do a portion.

To flyer the entire town, it would take about three hours for a single person.

If you like to walk, get outdoors, then this is a good opportunity for you.
