Love the arts? There’s a place for your time and talent at The Creative and Performing Arts Center (CAPAC)! We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, part-time Administrative Assistant (AA) volunteer to join our small and dynamic Administrative Team (A-Team).
Responsibilities- Two(2) days per week (flexible hours)
- Provide support to the Executive Director and Board of Directors as needed
- Scheduling and prioritizing tasks, deadlines, meetings, travel (on-and-off-site)
- Recording and maintaining good filing systems for meeting minutes, financial documents, employee files, legal documents, etc.
- Coordinate rehearsals and marketing performances
- Prepare, pick-up, and record U.S. mail and deliveries
- Virtual interfacing with and maintaining important relationships with members, vendors, and partner organizations
- Meeting reminders to Board and Committees
- Order and maintain office supply inventories
- Pleasant attitude & passion for the arts
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, self-starting multi-tasker
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite and Mac OS skills are required.
- 1-2 years administrative experience (preferably, supporting senior management)
- Woodbridge, Virginia or Northern Virginia resident, preferred
- Must be at least 21
- Must pass a background check

On March 16, 2002, CAPAC founders gathered to discuss bridging the racial and social-economic divide to provide art opportunities for ages five and up in underrepresented communities. On February 11, 2004, the IRS recognized CAPAC as a 501 C 3 nonprofit organization.
