Treasurer

Go Heroes Inc. is seeking a high level volunteer to serve as our Treasurer working side by side with the founders, and Board of Directors. The ideal candidate will be able to develop partnerships within the community, have great organizational skills and be a big picture thinker. The Treasurer will embrace the value of helping police officers, firefighters and military veterans by development of Go Heroes' strategic goals and objectives. Our ideal candidate has basic accounting background and is ready to give back to an up upcoming, nonprofit. Excellent leadership and organizational skills are essential.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serves as a member of the Board

Ensures financial activities are compliant with organizational policies, accounting guidelines, governmental policies, internal controls and works to develop and maintain such controls.

Identifies opportunities and support for the organization

Manages the development of Go Heroes programs

Leads in the oversight of budget and operational needs

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Volunteer Management

Strong knowledge of MS Office products, Google Drive

Attention to Detail and Commitment to Excellence

Must live in the State of Texas

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

College Degree OR 3 years of Police/Fire/Military experience required

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:
Volunteer: 3-5 hours per week. Most of the work can be done remotely. As this is a leadership position, a memorandum of understanding shall be executed.
