The Habitat for Humanity Store in Puyallup needs Saturday and Sunday volunteers. Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older, pass a Washington State Patrol background check, and attend a virtual New Volunteer Orientation prior to volunteering. We are unable to sign off on court-ordered community service hours.
The Habitat for Humanity Store is a retail outlet that sells new and gently used home improvement items to the public at low and reduced costs. All items are donated to the store, and all proceeds go directly to support Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity’s construction operations.
Store volunteers serve as Customer-Service Assistants (assisting customers with purchases) and Warehouse Associates (preparing merchandise for sale [cleaning and reconditioning], pricing items, and stocking merchandise. Volunteers must be 16 or older and pass a Washington State Patrol background check. Habitat for Humanity is not able to sign off on court-ordered community service hours.
Store Shifts:
Morning (9am-1pm)
Afternoon (2pm-6pm)

Reports to:
Store manager or assistant manager on duty
What to Wear:
- Sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Boots or tennis shoes preferred.
* Shirts must have sleeves (no tank tops).
* You may wear shorts as long as they are knee length.
* Clothing that is appropriate to be worn in a customer service environment.
