Army of Volunteers is a new nonprofit with the mission:

To heal and nurture the Earth as well as all the living things that make it their home.

Our major effort will be to combat climate change, which has the potential to render the Earth uninhabitable for humans. More information is on our website:

We are building up a global network of climate volunteers to promote products and technologies that contribute to the fight against the climate crisis.

We have a technology partner that manufactures equipment processing municipal waste so that it does not end up in landfills where the organic matter decomposes and emits greenhouse gases.

This equipment heats the waste in the absence of oxygen so that the carbon in the waste cannot combine with oxygen to form CO 2 which contributes to global warming and climate change. The process is called pyrolyisis or thermolysis.

This technology is very attractive financially, since a number of useful products can be produced from the waste and sold to create a profitable operation.

We currently have volunteers in 13 countries who are promoting the technology to waste handling companies in their countries. The advantages are improvement in the environment, reduction of greenhouse gases and financial profits.

To complement this ramp up of our network of volunteers who educate waste handling companies about the technology, we would like to form a team of developers who would work on the process to optimize it for the most profitable product mix in each country. For example, Product A may have a high price in one country and Product B a low price. The reverse could be true in another country. Thus, we would like to modify the waste treatment process so that more of Product A is produced in the first country and more of Product B in the second country. The team will also work on developing new applications for the products produced.

More information and a video are available at:

(scroll down the home page for the videos)

We believe that by improving the profitability of the operation for the waste handling company, we will be able to greatly increase the number of systems that can be installed globally. Thus, the development work will contribute to the amount of greenhouse gases that can be prevented from entering the atmosphere.

We are thinking that chemists or chemical engineers would be most equipped for this work, but we would like to hear from anyone who is interested in this project and believes they could contribute.

It may be possible to design a volunteer’s work to satisfy the requirements for a masters or Ph.D. thesis.

This position is unpaid.

Mission Statement

To heal and nurture the Earth as well as all the living things that make it their home.

Army of Volunteers for Earth works to better the environment. Currently our greatest concern is climate change. We are working to reduce the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere that are causing the Earth's temperature to increase. We are also working on methods of extracting the current high levels of these gases. We are recuiting volunteers globally to educate communities in every country about the opportunity to use new products and technologies to combate climate change.
