AHC Inc, an affordable housing developer, believes Housing + Education = Success.

AHC runs year round education programs at seven community centers in Arlington, VA. We give each student a bag of healthy snacks to keep them energized while they study and learn.

Volunteers can help by purchasing and assembling snack bags at home. This is a great project for families and groups.

  • Supplies needed - paper lunch bags, 4 non-perishable snack foods such as pretzels, no-nut granola bars, mandarin orange or other fruit cups, crackers and juice boxes. For dietary restrictions, we prefer no nuts or peanuts and no gelatin (no Rice Crispy treats and only Motts fruit snacks.)
  • Assemble bags at home. Decorating the bags is fun but optional.
  • Deliver bags to one of seven locations in Arlington. Specific information on the sign-up genius.
  • Email volunteer@ahcinc.org with questions.

Please sign up here to make snack bags. You will be able to indicate the number of bags you want to donate.
