ORGANIZATION: Project CURE

Project C.U.R.E. has been providing health and hope by distributing medical equipment and supplies to resource limited countries around the world for 34 years. Kansas City is home to our seventh and newest distribution center, where we have joined with the Franciscan Mission Warehouse to broaden our Project C.U.R.E. team. You can partner with us to serve individuals and families in desperate need around the world, and you don't even have to leave the city.

As the world's largest provider of donated medical equipment and supplies, Project C.U.R.E. was able to have had the ability to distribute over $4.5 million in PPE domestically while still shipping approximately 200 cargo containers of medical equipment, including Emergency Relief Beds, to face the COVID crisis. Here in Kansas City, although the pandemic delayed the "official" opening of our facility, the location still shipped PPE and emergency loads of beds over the past 16 months. We are very proud of our core team which has shipped 27 cargo loads!

As we prepare to launch this location, we need volunteers to come help us sort medical supplies, repair equipment, work in our warehouse and drive trucks. There is something for everyone as we staff the facility with a volunteer team! Project C.U.R.E. has over 25,000 volunteers worldwide.

As a sorting volunteer, you will identify, sort, and package medical supplies for shipment overseas. This is a hands-on volunteer opportunity that allows the volunteer to become familiar with an assortment of medical supplies.

While a medical background is helpful, it is not required. Training and resources are provided on-site.
