Grant Writing Assistance
ORGANIZATION: HINDIS LIBRARIES INC
Please visit the new page to apply.
Hindi’s Libraries is looking for an experienced volunteer to help with grant writing opportunities. Because we are only a two person team composed of the cofounders, we do not have the manpower or resources necessary to effectively apply for grants. Any statistics, documentation, background information or other paperwork that is required will be presented to you in order to apply for grants appropriately.
Currently, we've collected more than 200,000 children's books (both new and gently used) that are ready to be distributed throughout the world to families and children in need. We do not, at this point, have the necessary funding to send these books to our recipients. These organizations service children who would greatly benefit from free literature (and in most cases, this is the only way they'd be able to own any books, as they are unable to afford them.) We have the inventory, now we just need assistance to get the funding so that we can execute our mission.
Our database is complete and we have all of the necessary information to immediately ship the books. The only key piece missing is the money we hope to receive from grants to ensure that we can continue our mission and keep Hindi's memory alive.
Our organization's mission is to continue the legacy of Dr. Hindi Krinsky, a 32 year old High School English Teacher and Literacy Coordinator, who tragically passed away in 2018 from a complications of Crohn’s Disease. Her goal was to share her love for reading and literature with her High School students. Our goal is to ensure that children in need, who are unable to afford books, have the opportunity to read and own a book, something they otherwise may not be able to afford. By giving the gift of literacy, we are sharing Hindi's passion and keeping her memory alive.

Description
Hindi's Libraries is a 501c3 international nonprofit organization that donates new and gently used children's books all over the world, spanning across 50 states, Israel, India, Puerto Rico and Africa. Books are sent to recipients, completely free of charge, as the nonprofit absorbs all fees associated with shipping. Since our inception in 2018, we've collected more than 185,000 books and partnered with 450 organizations worldwide. All books are dedicated in memory of Dr. Hindi Krinsky, 32 year old educator and mother of 5 who suddenly passed away in August of 2018 due to complications from Crohn's disease.
