Volunteers are needed at The Children’s Center (CCMC) to help with general tasks important to the day to day operations and programs. Confidentiality is of the utmost importance and must always be maintained.

Family Visitation:

• Clean playrooms, toys, bathrooms, and outside play area after each visit to maintain a safe and friendly environment for children and families
• Organize playrooms and make sure items in playrooms are in proper working condition
• Coordinate playroom schedules with Social Workers and Case Aides
• Update playroom schedules daily to accommodate all family visitation
• Update decorations and signs throughout the center
• Laundry daily
• Check the trash daily outside and on the upper and lower levels and empty when needed
• Mark the expiration date on food supplies and stock pantry
• Keep the playrooms stocked with Kleenex and Hand Sanitizer
• Keep the bathrooms stocked with paper towels, toilet paper, and soap
• Donation management including processing and stocking
• Send thank you’s and record donation values for in-kind items
• Keep brochures stocked on walls in the lower level.
• Other tasks as requested

• Other duties as assigned
• Must pass a background check and have a copy on file with the Center
• Must have a completed Volunteer Application or Resume on file
• Valid driver’s license, transportation, vehicle insurance required
• Proficient in the use of a computer including typing, email, internet, websites, Microsoft programming and ability to learn other computer programs

Physical Requirements:
Volunteers may be required to lift up to 10-15 lbs. on occasion and may spend approximately 50% of the time sitting, 20% standing, 20% walking, 10% stooping, climbing and kneeling.
