The Encinitas Lions Club is considering offering a Carlsbad Branch for working professions who want to serve their community in a volunteer capacity. Lions Club International:, is a non-profit service club.

By becoming a member of the Encinitas Lions Club, and helping us to start a branch of our club in Carlsbad, CA, the branch club would be an extension and have its own focus as a specialty club.

"Special interest clubs bring together Lions with common interests or similar circumstances. Some clubs focus on helping people with diabetes, for example. Other clubs focus on professions such as educators or law-enforcement workers.

There are clubs for veterans, environmentalists, snowmobile fans, professional women and people with shared ethnic background. There is a ballroom-dancing club in Hawaii. And there are cyber clubs that meet and conduct club business primarily online, with members logging in from around the world."

If you are interested in joining the Encinitas Lions Club, and helping us start a branch in Carlsbad, CA, please send us an email.

Lions have been forming special interest clubs for decades.
