Quick Overview: Join us building furniture, organizing donations, and creating kits for new homes.
Available Wednesday-Saturday, 9-4 PM (2-hour shift minimum)
A Sense of Home is still social distancing in our warehouse space, but are now able to open it safely to volunteers! We have 2 hour shifts during these times, but volunteers can stay for as many shifts as they like as long as it is scheduled beforehand.
Mission: A Sense of Home strives to prevent homelessness by creating first-ever homes for youth aging out of foster care with donated furniture and home goods.
Impact: You can help make a difference in our recipient's lives! All of the furniture and kits assembled go into a former foster youth's home immediately - usually the week of or the week after they are assembled!
Requirements: Anyone can help!

Mission Statement
A Sense of Home (ASOH) creates first homes for youth who age out of the foster care system by bringing together virtually every segment of the community in doing social good while deriving great value in return.
Description
We host home creations up to 3 times per week. Home creations are a 90-minute team building event for large corporations, families, friends, or service organizations. A Sense of Home provides all furniture and decor and the volunteer team helps put together a new home for the aged out foster youth. Once the creation is over, the recipient who lives at the home comes back for the reveal.
We also need volunteer teams for our warehouse. We get new donations every week and need help unboxing, creating home decor kits, and organizing children's items!
