Bidwell Riverside Center - Hawthorn Hill

You can make a difference and impact food insecurity right here in our community. Volunteers are needed to help families in the food pantry and to pull food orders. When not helping with food orders, volunteers will help re-stock grocery aisles. We have plenty of gloves and sanitation supplies. To sign up for a shift, click here to see Bidwell Volunteer Opportunities.

2-hour shifts are available Monday through Friday each week. We welcome volunteers ages 10 and older. To sign up, please contact Missy Reams at mreams@bidwellriverside.org or 515-244-6251 option 5.

About volunteering: A volunteer orientation is provided when you first arrive to help, including an overview about poverty in the Des Moines metro.

About Bidwell: At the Bidwell Riverside Center Food & Clothing Pantry, we provide basic necessities to families in need. Bidwell has been providing hope for 128 years to families and helps them bridge the gap, so that they can spend their hard earned money on other necessities besides food and clothing.
