Save to Favorites

We need volunteers who want to make a positive impact in the lives of girls 8-14 who reside in the Coatesville, Downingtown and West Chester areas during the 2021-2022 program year. Our hope is that we will meet at a location to be determined, however, we will continue to monitor the CDC social distancing guidelines.
Volunteers are needed to lead discussions in age groups, assist as needed in the groups with activities. We need volunteers to help with planning and execution of events of the organization. The mentoring program offers girls enrolled in the program individual support, guidance and encouragement no more than 4 hours a month. You must attend a volunteer training. Program begins August 28, 2021.

Mission Statement

To cultivate positive life skills to girls ages 8-14 through education, empowerment and encouragement. Being a part of the program will help them to embrace their uniqueness while making positive choices as they transform into women of character, confidence and courage.

The birth of Wonderfully Me Incorporated Empowerment Program was to reach young girls earlier to develop life skills that will better equipped them to handle social pressures when they occur in school and in life. Our program officially began in October 2019 at East Ward Elementary School in Downingtown, PA. Meetings are held monthly August- May. All girls are welcome in a safe space where topics and activities are lead by volunteers and community speakers. Topics and activities are addressed that will have them to Embrace who they are, Love who they are and Succeed where they are. We shifted to a virtual program during the 2020-2021 program year due to the COVID pandemic. Answering the call from parents for more interactions from us due to the isolation from their friends, we launched a mentoring component for interested families. Because of its success, it will now become a part of the empowerment program. One thing we pride ourselves on is that we educate the parent on the skill during the first part of each session. This educates the parent but also equips them with the monthly life skill for further encouragement at home or perhaps become empowered themself.
