We are happy to announce the arrival of the TLC Intensive Care Program. This program will be supporting the Montgomery County Animal Shelter in their efforts to achieve a No Kill community by removing bottle feeder kittens from the shelter and providing around the clock care for these babies.
VOLUNTEERS
We are looking for experienced volunteer bottle feeders willing to support kittens through their first weeks of life. Feeders will be weighing kittens, feeding, weighing and then stimulating.
The kitten nursery is considered a medical unit at Texas Litter Control. The position is very serious as kittens must eat every few hours. Not being fed regularly causes serious complications for these babies including death. These positions are for SERIOUS VOLUNTEERS ONLY. While the nursery is fun and rewarding, it is a medical unit and we are there to keep these babies alive. If you are wanting to volunteer to play with kittens, please through our website at one of our adoption locations.

PLEASE REMEMBER...FOUND NURSING KITTENS SHOULD NEVER BE TAKEN AWAY FROM THEIR MOTHER!!! MOM WILL COME BACK!!! ONCE KITTENS ARE WEANED, MOMS SHOULD BE TRAPPED/NEUTERED/RETURNED AND KITTENS CAN THEN BE TAMED FOR ADOPTION PROGRAMS. We will not be taking kittens from the public. Kittens will be pulled from the Montgomery County Animal Shelter only. Space is limited. This is a pilot program.

Texas Litter Control is a high quality, low cost spay/neuter/wellness clinic and adoption center for companion animals. Our mission is to eliminate the suffering of companion pets by preventing unwanted litters of animals entering into shelters in Harris, Montgomery and surrounding counties in Texas by: a.) educating the public on the importance of spaying/neutering and proper pet healthcare; b.) providing a low cost solution available to the general public for spay and neuter; c.) providing adoption options for fully vetted pets to the public; and d.) mentoring other animal welfare groups to open clinics in other under serviced areas. Texas Litter Control is a Texas Nonprofit Corporation. Texas Litter Control is a 501(c)3 Tax-exempt organization. All donations are deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
Description
Texas Litter Control provides high quality, low cost spay/neuter and wellness services to the public. TLC has multiple cat adoption outlets to place companion animals into loving homes. TLC supports a neonate kitten program.
